    Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

    Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, Joe Pagetta arrived in Nashville in 1998. Prior to joining the NowPlayingNashville.com team, he was the director of media relations and online strategies for Nashville Public Television (where he also handled media relations for the Nashville Film Festival for a time). He’s a freelance writer and essayist (recent work has appeared in Nashville Arts, Chapter 16, Home and Hill and the Nashville Scene), an avid reader and book collector, and cycling enthusiast. He is one of the founding members of the elusive and influential Queen Breakfast Club. Most people know him as a sandwich at Savarino’s Cucina in Hillsboro Village.

    A former editor and writer at both the Nashville Banner and The Tennessean, Pat Embry previously served as director of the John Seigenthaler Chair of Excellence in First Amendment Studies at Middle Tennessee State University since 2014. Embry spent 18 years at the Banner in roles ranging from sports writer to executive editor before the afternoon newspaper closed in 1998. He then worked at The Tennessean for nearly eight years, with posts that included launching The Rage entertainment guide as general manager and editor, before becoming editorial director for Brentwood-based Magellan Press. He is currently the director of media and community relations at The Community Foundation of Tennessee.
