Auditions for God of Carnage, a comedy of manners . . . without the manners

The 4th Story Theater announces auditions for God of Carnage, a play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by John O. McGuire, Jr., (BFA in Acting & Directing – UNC School of the Arts – Studied, Assisted & Apprenticed under Gerald Freedman, Dean, School of Drama.)

A comedy of manners . . . without the manners.  Winner of the 2009 Tony & Olivier Awards for Best Play

Audition dates:

Saturday, March 5th from 1 – 3pm

Sunday, March 6th from 6 – 8pm

Monday, March 7th from 6 – 8pm

Auditions will take place in the 4th Story Theater at West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Avenue. Please park and enter West End United Methodist Church from the ground floor entrance on 23rd Ave North.  Take the elevator to the 4th floor.

Performances

May 4 – 15 (90 minutes, No Intermission)

Rehearsals begin March 15, and will be 2-3 nights per week (or as needed) from 7:30pm to 10pm.

Will be casting:

Needed: (2) Adult Women & (2) Adult Men in their late 30’s to mid 40’s who have 11 year-old boys.

If cast, actors will receive an honorarium for professional credit.

Actors should bring and/or prepare the following (if possible): Current Headshot, Bio/Resume & a 2-3 minute monologue. Actors will also be asked to do a cold reading.
