The great bass player Charlie Hayden once said, “As long as there are musicians who have a passion for spontaneity, for creating something that’s never been before, the art form of jazz will flourish.”
The Nashville Jazz Dogs and Six String Jazz have been invited to play for the August 25th opening of Vantage Pointe Village on Hwy 12 near Ashland City.
In keeping with the theme of “Old Hollywood” the band will play tunes by Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Henry Mancini, and a host of other great composers. The group consists of:
- Mesa Schubeck, piano
- Joey Grimaldi, gut string guitar
- Don Fishel, flute
- Doug Frame, drums
- Sam Frazee, upright bass with
- Wayne Renardson, MC & acoustic bass
