Rylie Bourne with The Guthrie Trapp Trio
Brought up in a family of musicians, near Springfield, IL, Rylie Bourne was introduced to outlaw Country and traditional Bluegrass music at a very young age. Her father, Marc Bourne, plays with the beloved local bluegrass band The River Ramblers and her grandmother, Lois Oliver, played with the 1940’s traveling band The Prairie Pioneers. At age 7, Rylie recorded her first track on a River Ramblers album, but it wasn’t until she turned 17 that she picked up a guitar and started playing her own shows. Since then, Rylie has spent a lot of time honing in on her unique “sound.” Four years later, her self-titled album “Rylie Bourne”, released in November 2015, is available for purchase featuring 8 original songs. A wide variety of influences are grasped on this record as Rylie finds inspiration in other genres such as 70’s rock and Americana. Rylie is currently a senior in college at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a major in Exercise Science. In her spare time, she loves staying active, spending time with family, being outdoors and writing.
