Songwriter Session: Larry Gatlin

With soaring melodies and tight sibling harmonies, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers scored dozens of country hits—almost all penned by Larry—including, “All the Gold in California,” “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer to You),” “I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love,” “Love of a Lifetime,” “Talkin’ to the Moon,” and the 1976 Grammy-winning Country Song of the Year, “Broken Lady.” Gatlin also wrote songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Elvis Presley, Charlie Rich, Barbara Streisand, and Dottie West.
