Originally hailing from Nashville, but having grown up in western Massachusetts, Steve Barnett is a now Boston-based, singer/songwriter, with a rapidly increasing following. At 22 years old, he has completed two full-length albums, and is soon to release his third. The Steve Barnett “style” is characterized by memorable melodies, and infectious grooves in the Pop-Rock Genre, with forays into Americana and Singer/Songwriter. He has studied music education at Westminster Choir College, and is currently studying songwriting at Berklee College of Music in his 8th and final semester. He has played at Boston venues such as the Red Room at Café 939, and the Berklee cafeteria, as well as infamous Iron horse music hall, of Northampton MA. As well as singing lead and playing piano, Steve also studies guitar, drums/percussion, bass, and mandolin. His musical influences include Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Coldplay, and Keane as well as many others.
