W. Ovid Collins, Jr. Concert Series: New World with the Nashville Philharmonic

The Nashville Philharmonic presents the W. Ovid Collins, Jr. Concert Series with music by Plog “Magdalene, A Cantata” based on Find Your Way Home, by the Women of Magdalene, Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite” and Dvorak’s Symphony #9 “From the New World.” Under the musical direction of Chris Norton, the Nashville Philharmonic will be joined by Abby Burke and Kristine Stroupe, sopranos; Donna Dozier, narrator and Magdalene Graduate; The  St. George’s Choir and The TSU Meistersingers for the World Premiere of Andrew Plog’s “Magdalene, A Cantata.” The concert is underwritten by the law firm of Cornelius and Collins, LLP, Metro Nashville Arts Council and Tennessee Arts Commission.
