Bebe Buell, known for her illustrious career as a supermodel, the former Playboy Playmate, served as inspiration for the character of Penny Lane in the film Almost Famous. She authored New York Times bestseller Rebel Heart: An American Rock And Roll Journey. Music City is now home to the cult icon. Bebe, dubbed the “Mother Of Rock & Roll” came to Nashville in 2012 to sing on Eddy Arnold’s tribute album for Plowboy Records. With her deep roots in music, Bebe immediately fell in love with the city. “As soon as I smelled the magnolia and stepped into Studio B, I knew I was home,” she says. “People sometimes forget I was born and raised in the South. I’m just coming back to my roots.”
Buell recently recorded a new song “By A Woman” with Crystal Gayle at Sound Emporium. They performed the song live for the first time at a DVD taping hosted by the studio. Buell was a special guest performer at The Long Players’ Tom Petty Full Moon Fever event at 3rd & Lindsley and is extremely excited to be returning with The Nashville Aces!
