    Even on its third stand at Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Jackson Hall, The Book of Mormon – that irreverent yet heartfelt musical from Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone – remains just as profound and profane as you remember. And it’s still so thoroughly delightful and awesomely entertaining that you might even feel as if you’re seeing it for the first time.

    Art isn’t just beautiful, it’s also therapeutic — even healing. Nashville non-profit MyCanvas Youth Arts is helping vulnerable kids through art and music workshops.

    Shunned by country radio, female artists in Nashville are looking to break through (PBS NewsHour)
    The proportion of female voices on country radio has been dropping in recent years, amid “long-held beliefs” that male singers drive larger audiences and greater ad revenue. But not everyone in Nashville buys into that theory. Jeffrey Brown reports on how some female artists and industry experts there are banding together to build a community and raise the profile of women in country music.

    The NFL announced Monday that Grammy-winning country star Tim McGraw will perform a free outdoor concert on April 26 and Grammy-winning gospel singer CeCe Winans will sing the National Anthem on April 25 to open the three days of draft events.

    Bentley will perform a free outdoor concert April 27 in downtown Nashville to coincide with the draft and the running of the Nashville Marathon.

    Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Coming to Nashville (Rus Tourism News)
    Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the world’s leading luxury hospitality company; Congress Group, a Boston-based real estate investment and development firm; and AECOM Capital, the investment arm of AECOM, today announce that a Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences will be coming to downtown Nashville. A groundbreaking for the development, which will be the first Four Seasons in Tennessee, is expected in April 2019.

    Former Spirit Music Group principals launch MOJO Music & Media, acquire Nashville-Based HoriPro Entertainment Group (Music Week)
    The deal brings with it 15,000 songs, spanning six decades and reflecting more than 250 charted hits. Included within this are the collected works of REO Speedwagon, a 50% interest in the songs of Kiss, the complete catalogue of singer, songwriter and actor Jerry Reed and more than 25 hits and cuts by country legend George Strait.
