Station Inn

Station Inn

Opened in 1974 and owned and run by bluegrass musician J.T. Gray since 1981, the Station Inn remains the preeminent nightclub featuring bluegrass and acoustic music in the country. From the acknowledged originator of the genre Bill Monroe to kickstarting the careers of modern-day acts such as Old Crow Medicine Show and The Steeldrivers. Station Inn is a revered by locals and tourists alike as downtown’s trendy The Gulch has developed around its unassuming cinderblock construction. Things to remember: ALL SHOWS ARE ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. There’s food available — bar snacks such as pizza, hot dogs, nachos, pimento cheese, popcorn and the like — as well as cold beer from the bar.

Age 21 and over admitted, unless with parent/guardian. Shows usually begin at 9 nightly, with doors open at 7.
